2008 Women's Retreat - "Behold The Bridegroom Ever True" was attended by over 60 women of all ages. Gwen Erenhborg was the guest speaker and we experienced all the aspects of a Jewish courtship and wedding. Thank you to Kasana Ackerman for serving at the Retreat Chair and your whole team for all the hard work it took to make this such a memorable event.
BUNCO - What a fun time with more than 40 wildly fun women! BUNCO will be something we will want to repeat...soon! Susan Jennings served as the hostess for this event and boy did she know what she was doing.
Craft Night - Great opportunity for Mom's and kids to connect and create a wonderful "brag book" for themselves or someone else. Meredith Williams served as hostess for this event and coordinated 100's of choices of scrap booking items for attendees to use in making their own special book. It was really enjoyed by all!
Christmas Family Hymn Sing - Special time for families to spend time worshipping the Lord in song and scripture as we prepared for the blessed Christmas season. Those gingerbread cookies & hot cider were a big hit too! Shelly Peters served as hostess for this event and did such a lovely job setting up around the fireplace and involving everyone in the family with scripture readings and songs that told the Christmas story. The night ended with a candle lighting and singing of Silent Night...I don't know if there was a dry eye in the place.
Birthday Tea - A wonderful way to start off our new year and celebrate each other's birth. As we sat with other lovely ladies within months of our own birthday, we got to fellowship and connect with new friends. Birthday cake and tea...yummy! Meredith Williams and Suzanne Oden served as hostesses for this event and thanks goes to Merna Young for her inspiration.
Love to Cook - Fun event where ladies got to share their recipes, get helpful hints for the kitchen and enjoy a wonderful meal. Thank you Sylvia Stambol, Julie Lafoon, Mary Ann Pedersen and Angela for your contributions and demonstrations. Mary Ann Pedersen did a fabulous job serving as hostess for this event.
